Celebration time!!
The website with details of enrollment and Google form enrollment has helped enroll 100 people from not only India but also USA, Germany and Indonesia. Without having to wait and physically come for that Alumni event to enroll. This is 24/7 open 365 days of the year.
- In addition, it ensured the registration paper form is not lost – another bad experience for some alumni who enrolled.
- The online google sheet record – can help prevent double registration with a little effort (another common alumni complaint – every time ask for registration again)
- It is also easy for volunteers to administer – several forced to administer on day of networking event
With this we have broken the inefficiency of the enrollment process!! Now we can enroll 24/7 and 365 days of year. Not only when OCAMBAAA meets physically.

There are many volunteers who have worked and funded this initiative – who were not visible to you. As soon as the form went live several made endowments to roll-out the site – Ravi Devulapally MBA 94-96 (Rs.10,000/-), Niharika Palavajala MBA TM 2012-14 (Rs.5000/-), Ezekiel Alexander MBA TM Eve 2017-19 (Rs.10,000), V Kumar MBA 1972-74 (Rs.5,000) and Ramana Jessu – MBA 94- 96 (Rs.2400/-).
When the endowments of Ravi and Niharika went into our SBI dormant account hence unusable but safe in alumni savings account. The others stepped forward so we could have funds to get a new domain ocambaaa.in for 10 years and 3 years hosting ending in Nov 2023.
Considering the weak financial situation position of OCAMBAAA – we chose a minimalistic, 1st minisite. Assuming 6% interest the 2 Lakh FDs can generate only 12,000/- per year. Barely sufficient for website hosting, domain renewal and WordPress Theme/plugin yearly renewal cost.
Earlier, short duration financing arrangements led to losing both domains and websites – forcing us to start from the scratch again.
Past President Kumar and Alex stepped forward to funding the requirement after first round went to inactive bank account. I thank Amardeep MBA-TM for finding and sharing the enrollment
form, sharing website vendor details and continous feedback on what fields are essential on the form. Pravalika and Ravi for stepping forward with such substantial endowments that was big boost to our confidence. Even after 15+ months no one else were big-hearted to give such a
substantial endowment. Our endowment receipts late have only been 2 for total of Rs.2,500
Alex spend many hours speaking to vendors to short-list someone. Evaluate the technology options, seek advise of other alumni and even put some resources in IBM to evaluate the technology option. Finally, we realized we just did not have budget for hiring an outside resource for alumni website and chose to do with a fresher resource in my firm. Who not only built the website but also the Google form – wish it was our alumni.
Last but not the least – I thank the entire Executive Comittee Team members and the DBM, OU especially Ramesh Vemuganti (MBA 1980- 82) & Bhanumurthy (MBA 1984-86) who only encouraged and never put a single word of discouragement – as we struggled through a few months before we went live in November 2021. Especially Dr. Jahangir who got nearly 25 enrollments arranged. Many thanks to the batch coordinators across various branches who have brought this to the notice of their classmates and encouraged them to enroll to reach this milestone.
I am the visible name, but standing on the shoulders of support of so many others. My apologies if I have missed out the support of any one!

For all those who are having little difficulty in finding time to make that 520/- payment and 20 mins to fill the form. Hope our journey will motivate you to step forward and complete the enrollment.
By and large we know our Alumni have done well. They are busy rather than short of financial resources. We have made the enrollment process simple so you can do quickly and conveniently.
Hope this small note will overcome whatever reservations you had to join as we have worked quite hard to not only keep the enrollment fee low but also the make the enrollment process as simple as possible.
We know each batch has a whatsapp group of 15, 20 and sometimes 30 members. Come join the alumni association and give it a chance to grow, bloom and flower in the future by taking the small step to enroll online.

We know how hard it is to get into this esteemed Management college. We encourage talented people like you to find time to volunteer for a term or contribute with a substantial endowment to push-up the alumni on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Year of the College.
We are only at 100, the total alumni are 7500 – Please support us on the long journey by walking one step with us by enrolling or getting one person to enroll. Don’t forget to enroll and nudge those who are not yet enrolled to do so!
